Improving the lives of women and children
the problem:
I am invovled in the S club at my school. The club is dedicated to improving the lives of women and children. We meet every tuesday during lunch we sold Bracletes and pinks ribbions in honor of breast cancer awareness month. We have also volunteered as babysitters and our local salvation army. Another project that we are working on is warm up america we crochet squares which then get turned into blankets that are given to people in need.During the holidays we donated toys to the salvation army and sang christmas carrols to children at a local hospital. Our most current projects are informing people about human trafficking and fundraising to hopefully participate in the upcoming Revlon 5k run/walk for breast cancer. In the future we would like to send care packages to women who are serving in the military overseas. Another thing we are working on is promoting famous women in history during womens history month.
