Hey this seems like a good start for an awesome cause, but I'd love to hear more about the international dinner and other stuff you guys are doing!
Hey guys my name is Carolina, this is the first year El Centro Latino and Bedford Bridges will be doing an International Dinner. We are so excited to be doing this to help people that don't have the methods of paying for college. So far we have gotten over 50 people and companies to help us, since it's an international dinner food from all over the world is needed. Entertainment will be provided with ethnic dancers from the Phillipines, Mexico, Honduuras. I will keep you updated with further notices
The internatinal dinner will consist of people donating food that are ethnic or commonfor them. so far we have people from Somalia, France, Italy, Mexico, Ecuador, Germany, Honduras, Argentina, U.S, Romania, Russia, India, China, Japan, Phillipines... helping us with this project.Other projects we have done before includes a pageant with formal dinner, the pageant came out with good results andf many scholarships were given from that last year, we did this year but it was less appreciated than last year so that is when the international dinner came in play! if you have any more questions I will be glad to answer them.
Sounds like a great idea and the detail you provided later definitely added to it. I encourage you, however, to use the term undocumented as opposed to "illegal" since it's more sensitive a term. Good luck!
It would also be great to mention the reason why the scholarship is necessary: undocumented students are not eligible for federal financial aid. Sad, but true.
This is an amazing idea. I would love to hear more about it. And I completely agree that it would help if you gave more background about why such a program is necessary.
