Invisible Children
the problem:
The purpose of my project was to raise money and awarness for the invisible children orginazation. This orginization is helping to fight against using children in the military. In Uganda children are being taken from their homes and given guns to fight. The children are forced to kill other children and are brain washed. In my community there are very many local bands, some more recognized than others. I went to them and got them all to agree to do a benefit concert for this organization. They all were really willing to help out with the cause. Then we put up flyers around the town and schools selling tickets for 7 dollars. The night of the project we had a huge success, we collected over 750 dollars to send to the organization and had over a hundred people attend the event. Many people have gotten involved because of this concert and i hope that more people will help out.
