The Problem

I am trying to get Jewish young professionals to give back to their communities by connecting them with causes they care about. By organizing the events and offering low-commitment volunteer opportunities, I've created a way for 18-28 year olds to make a difference.

Plan of Action

We founded JCorps in 2007. Since then we have been in touch with student groups and schools all over the country to get young adults involved in their communities. We give these young adults the tools and support they need to build a team of volunteers and get to work. Team leaders in each city recruit volunteers, who then tell their friends about the experience and grow the organization. JCorps volunteers come from 200 schools, 500 companies and countries around the world. We have fed more than 22,000 meals to the homeless, beautified hundreds of acres of public land and spend countless hours comforting the sick and elderly.
