Most kids now choose a healthier lifestyle. Most of them have developed a love for learning. They’re now also aware of their rights as children that they may use against any form of maltreatment, abuse and deprivation. Some of them have gained confidence in leading other kids, some became DTC officers as well. Majority are able to dream bigger and strive harder in knowing that they can do it with education. We see a lot of improvement on their personality and character as they’re developing their skills and abilities on how to dwell to each and everyone’s difficulties and differences. Both the learners and volunteers are able to build good communication and relationship with their fellow kids, teachers and other community members and we saw a lot of changes in the behavior especially in getting out of the habits like cursing, vices, gambling and early interest in sexual matters. Because we believe that by means of this efforts and exposure DTC will able to inspire more kids and teens to the cause of making a considerable difference regardless of age and social status. Every child of different nation can show the world that we are global citizens helping fulfill the Millennium Promise of alleviating poverty through basic education. This project exposure will serve as a reward to the toils of our volunteers and the efforts of our learners that “change begins within.”
