The Problem

The Westfield YMCA has a children's day care playground that needs to be repaired. I will be replacing the rotten wood on the picnic tables, seats and benches with recycled plastic lumber. This will make the picnic tables, seats and benches safer for the children and YMCA employees that use them. I will also be doing beautification and landscaping work to complete this project. I am applying for grants so I have the funding for the supplies. Only 2% of all Boy Scouts become Eagle Scouts.

Plan of Action

I am working on my Boy Scout Eagle Project with the Westfield, YMCA and Troop 72, Westfield, NJ. I am replacing the splintered wood on the picnic tables, seats, and benches at the children's day care playground at the Westfield YMCA. I will also be doing beautification and landscaping to complete my Eagle Project.
