The Problem

Julie thinks childhood obesity is one of the biggest issues our society is facing today. Her program will be after school and will be designed to teach children ages 8-11 the importance of nutrition and physical exercise. A two hour session each day will allow an hour for a nutrition lesson followed by an hour for physical exercise. Physical exercise will include games such as tag, kickball, swimming and soccer. This program will focus on maintaining a non-competitive fun atmosphere and increasing children’s self esteem.
