Kids Against Hunger Packaging Event
the problem:
Kids Against Hunger is an organization that packages food to help malnourished children go back to health. The idea to help Kids Against Hunger came when me and some other Key Club leaders were discussing what we should do to make an impact in our community and beyond. We decided that we would package food for starving children in both Seminole County, Florida and Haiti. The event consisted of precise planning and a large amount of fundraising. We ended up packaging nearly 12,000 meals that were to be sent to these children. I was very excited to find that an event I planned was a success and that we had made an impact in these peoples lives.

35why it's important:
I can’t imagine what it would be like to go through such difficulties. It breaks my heart when privileged people complain about not receiving the latest technology or costly designer boots, when others across the globe can’t imagine what those things even look like. One of my aspirations is to make a difference in the lives of these less privileged. I intend to continue to apply my passion and servant leadership principles in all of my future endeavors.
the plan of action:
We spent time planning small fundraising events so that we could purchase the food that would be packaged. Also, we spent time figuring out who would be involved and how long the project could take.
