The Problem

Foster children rarely get to take part in "normal" childhood activities, as they are often moved between foster home placements and schools many times a year. I strive to provide these children with a sense of normalcy in their childhood, as well as teach life skills (the ability to trust, responsibility, perseverance, etc.), and provide a positive mentor through music lessons.

Plan of Action

My plan of action is to raise $2000 by the end of 2011 to support Kids In A New Groove's Instrument fund, which provides musical instruments to foster children in the KING program. I have set up multiple events around the central Texas area to spread awareness of this non-profit and to collect donations for this cause.
