Ultimate Blessings has a Kidz Eatery that assisted in feeding children and teens after school. Over the four years in operation, they have fed over 5000 children. The program was in such a need that the correlation to nutrition and education is a main component of development. With this program in place the children and teens state test scores risen and help put there school in a higher percentile of performance. This program assisted in hungry children to receive a complete balance meal. The Kidz Eatery has researched the cause of obesity in children and teens and has found that there is help for these young people and how obesity can create so many long term problems in adulthood. The KidZ Eatery has a Kidz culinary school that teaches them the proper nutrition and fitness that is needed to enhance their physical and academic abilities Expanding children’s knowledge of food is a supportive way of addressing eating habits and health. The Kidz Eatery has hands on approach to nutrition. We introduce children and teens to education, healthy food and safety. Our effective ways of teaching are through play and activities, this allows the children/ teens to explore and experiment the various possible ways of eating healthy. The children and teens are arranged into teams to accomplish their goals. We are answering the call to low-income single parent families who does not have time for balanced nutritious meals. Our program offers resources for continuing education for the child and parent. We are introducing healthy entrees that are simple to prepare. .
