The Problem
The program is designed to promote personal growth and empowerment amongst college women in efforts to create more qualified and confident women leaders in the work force.
Plan of Action
3 years ago I found an advisor, now mentor, to oversee the program. Each year we hold many meetings and discussions with faculty and administration on campus to improve the program. My plan of action is a continuation of these meetings to refocus the program ensuring it is in the path of which we want to achieve. Growing the program also includes providing more opportunities. We have looked into adding a retreat and several opportunities for civic engagement.
As for impact, the program is much like any that a student will gain whatever time she puts into the program. We have offered an opportunity like no other on campus. Students are paired with a faculty/staff mentor, given numerous sessions they can attend, and have opportunity to attend in at least one civic engagement project.
