KIPP Tech Valley Holiday Toy Drive 2007

Holiday Toy Drive A Service- Learning Project 12/2007 KIPP: Student Council and Committee. Students organized toy drive; created and distributed flyers, made school wide announcements, collected and wrapped toys. Students identified organizations to donate toys from the toy drive. Student Council Leaders met with representative from Prison Families of New York (PFNY) to discuss the project. Council and committee members presented toys to two organizations; PFNY and The Albany Medical Foundation for the Children’s Hospital at Albany Med. Cancer Treatment Center. Subjects: Social Studies/History, Language Arts/Communications, Math, Environmental Ed., Music/Arts Grades: 7th Type of Project: Community Building/Development
