why it's important:

We want to continue to clean up our city after Hurricane Ike. It is important for us to keep items out of our landfill and be responsible youth for our environment in Lake Jackson.

the plan of action:

We will be helping Keep Lake Jackson Beautiful with the responsibilities of hosting a city wide clean up event. We will help recruit volunteers, manage site location activities and also get out in the city and clean up. We will also be participating in landscape projects on city grounds.

how you can get involved:

We are always looking for more volunteers! Come recycle and help clean up the city for the Festival of Lights.
