The Problem

The problem we are targeting is the lack of community involvement within secondary education, more specifically, within community colleges. The problem is students are missing outlets to success by not being a part of the community in which they are affiliated with and using their resources as a tool to gain more knowledge. What we as an organization are trying to achieve is to break the mold of traditional, sometimes mundane, learning styles and introduce ones that permit students to turn education into something that can be universally expressed through their daily lives, as well as, reassuring when they consider possible faults.

Plan of Action

The steps already taken have been to create an organization that recognizes students for having an uncanny desire to better themselves through academic achievement. Then we diverged a plan to reach the other community colleges by going to their campuses and spreading awareness of higher learning and our effect on the surrounding community. We also have the support of a number of local and national businesses such as, GoWireless, Sonic, Lenny's Burger Shop, and Arrowhead Country Club, donating coupons and proceeds to our organization to host community events that promote secondary education. Our next step is to begin organizations such as this on each community college campus to promote community involvement as a result of scholastic improvement. The impacts we've made thus far stretched from 28 original students to nearly 70 students overall that are determined to have the same effect on their campus and exceeding into their community. We are trying to impact not only the students in which are trying to learn, but those outside community members that are either curious about education or skeptical about the learning process.
