The Last Ten Seconds

The Problem

We are a group of students on our journey to do things greater than on could imagine. We are a crew of talented individuals honing our skills, finding our hidden talents, and perfecting our craft to become the best that we can possibly be. It is one of the most difficult things we have ever tried to do, but we love it, and that’s why we keep trying. Today we are here to make a film, a unique film with a purpose. We’re film students at California State University - Northridge and our mission is to create a piece of cinematic art that aids people to put the phone down before they even reach for it while they drive. We want to stop texting while on the road! I was hoping to be guided to someone at Do Something that I could relay more information about the film to as well as receive information regarding a potential sponsorship. Please get back to me at your earliest convenience. Sophia Zach Producer, "The Last Ten Seconds" (818) 935-3335

Plan of Action

Here is a little about our film: This is a short film subtly dealing with the universal reason that people text and drive, and the consequences of doing so. But at the same time...it never shows a cell-phone and it never shows a car. It’s essence is on capturing the emotion of what is absent, rather than what is there. Three-Line Synopsis: A teenage girl drives through the last ten seconds of her life while her family reminisces about the wonderful times of the past...and reacts to her death.
