The Problem

Cervical cancer doesn't get as much attention as some other cancers, yet it is just as critical, especially where it involves the education of young people and the causes of cervical cancer in all women, including the HPV virus, which effects both men and women. My efforts in leading the new Lehigh Valley PA chapter of the NCCC will be to promote awareness, prevention and education of women's health and cervical cancer issues, and when possible, to assist women needing financial assistance as they overcome cervical health concerns.

Plan of Action

Awareness, prevention and education of women's health and cervical cancer issues will include fundraising and outreach activities throughout the year. Opportunities will be utilized for community education efforts at schools, colleges and other public venues. Local collaboration will include the Lehigh Valley Cancer Community, and the Lehigh Valley Women's Cancer Center.
