The Problem

I'm trying to create strong leaders throughout our community to lead our generation. Through our annual leadership development conference we teach high school students from around our county valuable leadership skills that they will have with them for the rest of their lives. We also have teambuilding games to emphasis the importance of communicating and working with each other, especially as most of these teenagers have met each other before. One of our proudest achievements is that every year we certify each attendant in either CPR or First Aid, giving everybody the opportunity to save a life.

Plan of Action

I am currently in the process of becoming certified to instruct CPR and First Aid. Once certified I can be the one teaching other teens, which I think is really important as I am able to connect with them on a level that adults can't. In addition, I have visited a local boys and girls club to have our conference at, and we have started organizing the classes, teambuilding, theme, t-shirts, and sponsorships.
