the problem:

Over population of prisons and the environmental hazards prisons create.

vital stats:

people impacted:

200

people involved:

8

why it's important:

Large percentage of people who are incarcerated are poor people and people of color. I was incarcerated in the past and received no real rehabilitation.

the plan of action:

Organize young people and communities to challenge this issue. Youth will be educated on public policy and how to create their own policies.

how you can get involved:

People can provide time to work with young people. Volunteer to help youth in not just homework but to help them build up their leadership. We need a wide range of political support to address the over population of prisons.
