The Problem

I am trying to solve the lack of self-esteem that young girls possess. Self-esteem has become a national crisis in this country. The majority of girls (7 in 10) feel they do not measure up in some way including their looks, performance in school and relationships. Most disturbing is that girls with low self-esteem are engaging in harmful and destructive behavior that can leave a lasting imprint on their lives. We are helping girls to feel valued and confident despite media images or lack of adult support within their homes.

Plan of Action

Leading Ladies of Legacy, Inc is going to start a campaign next year called "I Call The Shots." The campaign is going to consist of an after school program in which we will partner with 5 local schools, recreation centers and agencies. We will also host a leadership conference in the nations capital which hosts most of America's leaders. We are going to keep the conversation going on our social networking sites like our Facebook Fan Page and Twitter and You Tube.
