The Problem
At Logan Avenue School our students dont have the opportunity or incentive to try many fruits and vegetables except for things like lettuce, carrots or apples! Although our lunch program puts a fruit or vegetable on each tray, the students are not required to eat it. Consequently, LOTS of food is thrown away untouched! We would like to help our kids become healthier and better able to make good choices with regard to their eating habits! If we can do that, they may be able to take the knowledge they learned in elementary school and use it throughout their lives!
