The Problem

The community is our fighting men and women in the military; letters and pictures from children should boost morale and let these special men and women know we are thinking of them and supporting them.

Why It's Important

The DO SOMETHING Club members brainstormed ways to get all students to participate. We hoped for at least 25% participation. We got over 250 letters from grades Kindergarten through 5th!

The Plan Of Action

Students in the Brooks DO SOMETHING Club decided that the soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq needed morale boosting - so we found a teacher who had a son in the military stationed in both areas and advertised a letters to solders writing campaign.
