Library for Likoni

I lived in the village of Likoni, Kenya which is just outside of the city of Mombasa. School attendance is out of reach for many, not just because of the attendance fees, but distance and family's need for an income. The community organization that I worked with (Likoni Community Development Programme or LICODEP) is working on providing educational opportunities to these children. They asked me to help them out in the creation of a library and basic education training. However, I had to return to the US for graduate school. I have since acquired many donations of books (both textbooks and others). I unfortunately do not have any money to get all the books and/or myself back to this village to continue with this project. I have been in fairly constant contact with my supervisors there and we are all still intent on making this happen somehow and someway.
