Listening Ear
the problem:
Since not everyone has someone that they can turn to with their troubles, I want to create a hotline, website and outreach centers that will provide a place where people who have the weight of the world on their shoulder, whether it be that they had a fight with their friend or that they are a single mother living on alow income, I want them to be able to share their feelings with someone who can provide care and understanding and assistance to them. This is a project along the lines of Planned Parenthood, Suicide Hotline, BPkids website, and so on, but the only difference is that this is assistance for any problem you may have or if you just need someone to talk to and get your feelings out.

Outside of my immediate family, I do not have any other family around and no relatives that I am close to. My mom has experienced many times having to be in a situation where she needs someone to talk to, but she has no one. If somone does not have many friends they may not have anyone that they can talk to. TRhis is so important to me, because I see that it could solve many problems and prevent people from harming themselves or other. The great thing about this would be that everything would be told in confidence.
the plan of action:
I will first start out with a website with blogs and personal chat with a professional, as my website starts to grow, I want to create a contact line where people can call and speak wit hsomeone, after this I would love to create community Listening Ear centers, where people can go and meet face to face with counselors. At these centers I will try to get religious counselors to volunteer here.
how you can get involved:
Everyone can lend their own ear to someone. If you see that someone is having a bad day ask them if they would like to talk. When you meet someone ask them what their life has been like. Donations would be wonderful as well as people who want to help spread the word and halp recruit volunteers.
