The Problem

We are trying to solve problems in the area of education, income and health. In Miami Dade county, we have a coomunity filled of people who have not graduated high school, are unemployed and ill. We want to be able to fundraise money in efforts to help support community programs that affect change and help to improve our community. We have oer 160 different agencies that all help our community when natural disasters occur with our emergency response agencies and even mentoring programs for youths at risk to encourage them to succeed. We want to be able to decrease the number of dropouts, increase the number of job opportunities and take care of our community when they are in need.

Plan of Action

United Way is working to advance the common good by creating opportunities for a better life for all. We are focused on improving education, income and health – the building blocks for a good life. Our goal is to create long-lasting changes that prevent problems from happening in the first place. We invest in quality programs, advocate for better policies, engage people in the community and generate resources. We invite you to join us in this work and LIVE UNITED. We want to further raise money to help support our agencies and coordinate volunteer work so that we can make Miami a better place for all.
