The Problem

There are 27 million men, women and children forced into slavery in our world today. There are more people enslaved now there at any other point in history. Slavery can be anything from forced prostitution to whole families having to make bricks all day. It may surprise people but, slavery is also a problem in Canada and the United States!

Plan of Action

This is our second year having a Justice Week at our school. We held grade level assemblies to educate and raise awareness about modern day slavery. But more importantly we told them that things don't have to be the way they are. That our generation can be the generation to change things. Later this month we are going to be holding a Justice Week with tons of fundraisers that can get other students involved. We are also going to be holding several fundraisers in our community.
