Los Mochis Community Service Sister City Project

the problem:

Our group, the Santa Rosa Teen Council, has made it our go to travel to our city's sister city, Los Mochis (Mexico), and implement an anti-gang, pro-environmental awareness community service project. These issues are very relevant to both our cities and despite these difficult financial times, we are determined to make it happen.

why it's important:

Santa Rosa Teen Council is a City Council-brainchild. It has been a community fixture for almost a decade. We are dedicated to not only helping local teens get representation in our government body, but we have a rich history dedicated to community service. In recent years, we have partnered with campaigns to reduce gang violence and promote environmental awareness (i.e. recycling, sustainability).

the plan of action:

Our plan is to increase the number of teen-focused fundraising activities (halloween, sports outings, etc.), continue to pursue interested local business for sponsorships, and maintain our strong relationship with our Los Mochis hosts.

how you can get involved:

We are in need of donations to help us reach our financial goals.
