See It

I want to start a program for kids who have low self-esteem because of their weight problems. I recently lost 50 pounds and it was hard for me to adjust to the comments of friends, family and peers. All of the sudden people start being really nice to you and giving extra attention; it becomes difficult to see who in your life is real and has loved you heavy or light. This program will be similar to those of weight loss programs, except that it will be the after-care program because this is what clinics fail to provide. We will help support each other to find self-value and self-worth in a society that only gives the good-looking and beautiful attention. We will learn to cope with the new found friends and the postivie feedback and sometimes negative feedback from those around us. This project will begin soon, it will be targeted towards teens, heavy or light, aneroxic or obess, we will join as a community to hold each other accountable. Some days we will take trips that we involve activity and other days we can visit hospitals with obess patients to help give them encouragement. Lose don't get lost: means don't lose who you are because you lost the weight!
