The Problem

To provide special needs students with the opportunity to learn new job skills in a safe environment while learning how to be productive, responsible and employable.

Plan of Action

The students have been earning a small wage while they learn about safety, care, grooming, and exercising horses at a local stable. The students feel a sense of inclusion in the program while they gain the necessary skills to become employable. Most of the students have already earned a California State provisional groom’s license. They are ready for the next level of training but lack the adaptive equipment necessary to do so. We need support through grants and fundraisers so the students can advance in their training and earn their unrestricted groom’s licenses.
