The Problem

By building this Low Ropes for Camp O'Malley, my plan was to help the inner city youth who camp there to learn the skills they need to work together as teams instead of being in survival mode looking out only for themselves.

Plan of Action

In order to creat the Low Ropes Course, I began with fundraising. We raised almost $900.00 by doing two days of car washes. All of the supplies for the car washes were donated by local automotive parts stores. We then took our plans to Lowe's where they gave us a discount on materials. I worked mainly with other teens my age and a few adults to create this project in three workdays. Now the tire swing structure has been inspected and approved for use by the campers this summer.
