Hello, My Name is Naeem Callaway and I am the Founder and CEO of Get Out The Box Inc., a 501(c)(3) Non Profit Organization that is dedicated to educating and mentoring at-risk youth in low income and rural communities. I am pleased to announce the official debut of our Innovative Youth Organization and the official launch of our Amazing Website. Why do we want the Youth to Get Out The Box ( introduction)?Let me paint a picture for you. Let me take you inside the box. Inside the box there is hopelessness, drug use and violence, teen pregnancy, low self esteem, and no parental support or guidance. Inside the box, poverty is pervasive and it has created the illusion that there is no way out. This illusion creates anger and frustration within our youth which leads them down the wrong roads that takes years and greatness from their lives.

How are we going to address these problems? The Get Out The Box Team ( Naeem, Sakeenah ,and Etta, ) wants to go into the box, into these communities ( The First 100 Days Movement )and insert mentoring ( Real Talk, life skills),education ( College 101), the arts (Teen Renaissance), and give the youth an opportunity to travel outside the box ( Backpackers, Teen Fit Nation, Latinos Unidos ). Our Organization will also work closely with the schools and be there to motivate and inspire ( inspiration, Inspiration part 2) the youth in the morning before they enter the classroom and be there for them in the afternoon to reinforce what is learned in the classroom. We want to show the youth the power of education and to teach the youth that there is more to life than their hood, block, or negative reality.
Our Organization is not a 9-5 youth organization because the problems our youth face is not a 9-5 problem. We are a 24/7 youth organization. Our Organization has a Youth Hotline that is open for the youth and parents 24/7/ 365.We are pleased to announce that this line is officially open! We also have a Confession page that the youth can access. This is in place so that the youth can ask questions and share their problems anonymously online and get answers to their situations ( Confessions)! .OVERSEAS OPPORTUNITIES!!
Our Organization has also partnered up with two overseas organizations! Living waters International and Cross Cultural Solutions. Get Out The Box will plan trips for inner city New Jersey youth to go overseas during their spring break to volunteer! Our organization will give each student a camcorder to create documentaries of their work overseas. When we return we will have a film festival showcasing their documentaries and invite the community and media to see their works! Our organization is also looking to create a program similar to the Godparent Youth Organization in Los Angles where they plan educational cross country trips for inner city youth!

Our Organization is looking for virtual volunteers!!! Volunteers who can give back from their home or laptop!! This is what we are looking for:
Fundraisers and Marketers: Those who have a knack for raising funds online. When planning online fundraising you can use www.firstgiving.com or www.networkforgood.com. and place the widgets on your online social networking pages and invite your friends to give! Our Organization name is Get out the Box, inc. 4048 English Creek ave. Egg harbor Towniship, NJ. You can also plan local coin drops in your community! All you have to do is email me and I will send you our logo, banner, and the materials you need to fundraise for our organization! You can also post our logo and website info in local stores, churches, homeless shelters, etc.

Take a Photo!! Our Organization is looking to create a country wide and global movement that shows the youth that with education and hard work they can do and be anything they imagine! In our effort to create this movement we are looking to create some buzz!!. We are looking for Photographers or anyone who is good with a camera to take pics for our organization. We are looking for people in every state to take cool pics in a national monument or a cool spot! We want you in your picture to hold a poster board or a peice of paper saying "GET OUT THE BOX!!" We are looking for pics from all the 50 states and overseas countries! When you have taken the pic please email it to ncallaway@getoutthebox.org. We will display the pics on our website and social networking sites!!
Say a Prayer! Our Organization has a passion for helping the youth in our country and the world! We understand that prayer is a powerful weapon and that is not used enough! Therefore we are looking for people to video tape a prayer for the youth or write me a prayer or words of encouragment for the youth! You can get your local church involved, friends, and family!! If you decide to video tape, please upload it to youtube or vimeo and email the link to ncallaway@getoutthebox.org! I will post the video or words on my youtube channel, blog, website, and other social networking pages! Again, I thank you and lets get our youth out of the box!!

Grant Writers: Those who have great writing skills and who can help us obtain funds for our programs!!
Help us organize, fund-raise, and plan our Overseas trip!: Through our partnership with Living Waters ( Mexico) Cross Cultural ( Ghana, South Africa) We will be sending 10 inner city youth overseas to volunteer and document their experiences through video! We will also need chaperone's who will travel with us overseas!!
Bloggers and Social Networkers: We need individuals to create social network accounts with twitter, facebook, myspace etc, and create blogs and newsletters to help create online buzz for our youth organization !!
