The Problem

Storm drain pollution The Gilleland Creek watershed and Lake Pflugerville community and the area subdivisions do not understand that what they put down the storm drain ends up in the creek or lake.

Plan of Action

Through publicity, group storm drain events and other avenues, we are getting the word out about storm drains and runoff. We have created "buckets" to be used to mark the drains in the community. The first group marked 20 drains in one hour. We are looking forward to doing more.

Project Updates

Marked 1500 drains in our city and another 200 drains with youth volunteers this fall.
