30why it's important:
Most of my life has been encircled around this sport and I do not see an ending of spending my time on it in the near future. I enjoy the sport and like helping others improve to levels that can help them achieve a happy accomplishment.
the plan of action:
This summer our team won the Summer League Championships and through the collective efforts of all our coaching staff we had more swimmers qualify for the summer championship and YMCA National Swim Championships than ever in the history of our program. This was accomplished through many hours of technical development and training for our swimmers. I was also blessed to be able to assist a Paraolympian from the Baltimore, MD area train for success at our summer league and United States Swimming meets as well as two world records that were set at the Paraolympic World Championship Trials earlier this year she has made the World Championship Paraolympic Team and we hope for the best of her success at the event in December. My goal is to finish my degree in Exercise Science, get experience through swimming collegiately, and to perform to the best of my ability for the collegiate program I represent. I then hope to help take the knowledge I've gained and help others develop at the age group program I'm employeed at that has developed me into the swimmer/coach I am today. Otherwise I would not mind giving my technical experience to the college team I represent in the future if possible.
how you can get involved:
The best way of help we have established is through our parent board with the age group program as well as collective support from our administration at the YMCA we represent. They have helped to establish fund raisers and help us to set up the events we have hosted for a number of years. On the college side we have strong alumni support and strong support from the parents as well.

Comments
Well the season has wrapped up for now for both me in college and the kids except for those traveling to YMCA Nationals this weekend. We wish you all the best of luck and God's blessings as you pursue best times and happiness in your performances as it helps you going forward. FYI we will be starting stroke clinic I believe in May where we hope to be doing some more special emphasis on technique and using methods to help the swimmer better understand how he or she is performing. Best to you all this Easter Weekend
Coach Chad.
