The Problem

Medical Student Missions is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing medical students with the opportunity to volunteer their talents through medical service. This opportunity is often hard to find because of strict regulations on the level of care medical students are permitted to provide. Medical students, however, are capable of providing valuable support and by working with licensed medical professionals can really help those in need.

Plan of Action

I founded Medical Student Missions with a group of my classmates and we have begun developing relationships with other medical service organizations in hopes of establishing long-standing relationships that will encourage future participation by medical students in volunteer medical service. We recently returned from our first trip to Haiti, during which we treated over 1600 children and pregnant women.
