Mentor

Together with some advisors, I have help to build up clubs and mentor organizations to give children the opportunity to have a role model at their finger tips. Peer Leaders is a club designed to lead my peers away from the use of drugs and alcohol. We go into freshman religion classes and talk to them as we teach them perspective, self-respect, and maturity. We are there to talk to them about anything and we respect their questions and give honest answers. We bring everyone to the same level and give them an essence of retreat. Along with Peer Leaders, the Ophelia Mentoring Program is where we go to local grade schools and parishes and mentor 6th, 7th, and 8th graders about learning to be their true self, and how to stay their true self. We help them stay away from the conformity of body image issues as well as the hardships of childish acts of hatred. These girls gain confidence and a safe haven if they need it.
