The Problem

Diabetes is a growing epidemic that is unfortunately affecting one out of every four people. The problems with diabetes are only getting worse, and through the Diabetes Screening that we hold, we raise awareness to the problem within our school and possibly in the community. With this screening we also help students and staff find out if they have pre-diabetic or life threatening symptoms, and find out ways to treat the problem for free.

Plan of Action

My primary plan of action is finding a $1000 grant, or several grants that lead up to that amount so my school can afford to buy the materials needed for the screening as well as the funds needed to accommodate Nova Southeastern University's medical staff, since they are the professionals that screen the students and staff. If all goes smoothly, we can screen up to 1000 students and staff free of charge.
