The Problem

We are trying to involve our middle school students in community service to show them that they are active members of society that can do something to make a difference. we hope to better our community in a variety of ways: reaching out to care for the elderly, preserve the history of our community, assist in feeding the hungry, and many other service activities that benefit the community.

Plan of Action

One a month our students head out into the community to provide service at different places within our community. Our service learning class which is held weekly, provides students the opportunity to reflect on their service and discuss its relevance.
