The Problem

For people to understand that people with special needs can do everything we do, they just have to do it in different ways.

Plan of Action

We try to get as many of the special needs students at our school to get involved with the program. Then we get a few of the cheerleaders on the JV or Varsity teams at school and we come up with a full cheerleading routine to teach them and perform at competition. Since we have started the program in 2007, it has doubled in size and we are participating in more activities. Our special needs cheerleading team has also inspired another school to start a team of their own.
