See It

As a junior in high school, I began jogging in Miramar Park, a park close to my home and close to my heart. While I greatly enjoyed the natural scenery it had to offer, I detested the litter that it had accumulated. Unaware of any organized trash pickup program, I simply went to the park one day with a few plastic trash bags and began restoring it to its former beauty by picking up litter. I returned several times that year to serve my community by removing any trash within sight of that park. Having experienced a happy childhood in my hometown, my motivation for serving the community of Seabrook can best be described as feeling a responsibility to ‘return the blessings.’ This is a very simple project, it involves no organization unless the volunteer himself wants it. Simply arrive to the beloved Miramar park with a trash bag and motivation and begin cleansing our city!
