This summer I am planning a mission trip to Haiti with the youth group at my church. I recently became an assistant leader for the youth group at my church and plan all the activities for my youth group. I have had a love for missions for the last couple years and I hope to start the same trend with the youth at my church. There are so many countries and people out there who need love and support from us. I had the chance to go to Haiti last year with a team and this year I am so blesses to be able to plan my own trip. We will be staying at an orphanage and visiting several others throughout the week. We will also be painting and doing other service projects to help out in any way. We will hold Vacation Bible Schools, perform skits, songs, and human videos. Our team will stay about 6 days in Haiti and spent two days traveling. I am in charge of meeting with the team and parents, make traveling arrangements, keeping track of the money that comes in, raising the money, and getting the team there. I am so excited to be able to give and love on the haitians and to show them that they are just as valuable as anyone else. I was so blessed and inspired last summer that I can't wait to get back there and hug the kids.
