The Problem

The country of Haiti is located about 700 miles off the coast of Florida. Haiti shares about one half of an island with the Dominican Republic. Haiti is a tropical island that is covered in dense tropical foliage that is slowly diminishing due to the Haitian's need for charcoal. The Haitian people live in extremely impoverished conditions, most Haitian homes consist of cement walls and a thatched or metal roof. They may have two or three different pieces of clothing that they wear almost every day.

Plan of Action

I first attended meetings at my church that were about attending a mission trip to Haiti. I was very interested and soon I had made a deposit and was on my way to a life changing trip.
