The Problem

Foster and Probation girls often feel isolated and alone, leading to lower self esteem and lower grades and even drop outs. With the girls on the 4 community college campuses and the CSU here in Sacramento, we will work hard to aquash low self esteem and offer academic support too! 70% of foster and probation youth dream of going to college, and only 1.7% graduate!

Plan of Action

The first thing we would like to do is a mixer for the girls to get to know each other! We want to host a "mixer" each semester, and the first one will be at a park! We want to do a park clean up while having a picnic lunch-potluck! This is an inexpensive way to have fun, get to know eachother, and give back to our community!
