Moms doing something good

the problem:

I have the privilege of being part of a group of stay at home parents. While none of us receive state assistance, we do struggle to put the most healthy foods on the table. We believe it is in the best interest of our families to be at home with our children while our spouse works out side of the home. But we realize this comes at a price and we don’t want the price to be our children’s health. We would ideally like to feed them fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and lean meats at every meal, but when you are on a tight budget (as we all are) just getting food on the table is our focus. With this grant money I would like to provide each family with menus and ingredients to prepare healthy and delicious foods that not only would our children eat and enjoy but become healthier in the process.
