The Problem

We are facing off against invasive species that take over our forest preserves and hurt the biodiversity of other plants that are trying to grow! Also, by tackling these species, we are aiding the animals that live in the forest preserves. If these invasive species prevail, they will disrupt the food chain and harm the ecosystem. Our main foes are buckthorn and honeysuckle.

Plan of Action

We have planned Ecological Restoration Workdays in which we visit nearby forest preserves and remove invasive species such as buckthorn and honeysuckle. We have had three successful days and at least one future date.
