The Problem

Muralcles was inspired by a movie in which a young child died in a sterile, white hospital room void of any color or happiness. This sad story compelled us to start an organization dedicated to bringing color, friendship and smiles to ill children in hospitals.

Plan of Action

Muralcles members volunteer several times a month visiting patients in the pediatric floors of Maricopa Medical Center. Members set up craft projects in the pediatric play rooms for children who visit the play room, and work on crafts bedside for ill children who are not able to leave their room. Members recently painted a jungle mural in the pediatric treatment room at Maricopa Medical Center. The mural serves to make ill children happy, and makes the hospital less scary for small children.
