Musically Deprived

the problem:

In my school district, the Presidents and leaders of the district have decided to do away with the orchestra programs that were previously part of curriculum. I believe it is unfair to the kids and the community. If they do not teach the kids while in their youth, they will never learn, and the high school orchestra programs will suffer because of it. The children will never learn to appreciate music if they don't understand it. I am currently in the process of trying to get an after school program for the elementary and junior high schools, because I don't want to look back and say to myself "I could have helped them or done something." I wouldn't be able to forgive myself. I need help in making it possible, that's why I need this grant. They need music and instruments and I need some financial support so I can go to college and further my music education to become a music teacher someday. Everybody wins.
