The Problem

Unite Our Worlds vision is to help children around the world. We work to build schools, support educational programs, and provide medical assistance. Unite Our World is an organization made up of young people, working for young people. We work at alleviating suffering and injustice, and sowing the seeds that can change the world. Creating a united world starts however you want. We emphasize the power each person has to make an impact on our world. We ask the question, through what do you unite?

Plan of Action

In June 2010, Unite Our World and seven volunteers built the first brick structure at Mweruka Junior School. Two 20' x 40' classrooms were constructed. The students now have the opportunity to pass from grade 4 to grade 5. Unite Our World also completed the first water well for the school. Students and teachers will no longer have to walk over 3 miles to obtain water. The well will also jump start agricultural projects for the school and the community as water is in scarce supply in the village. As the sole supporter of the school and HIV orphanage, we have purchased desks, helped with upkeep, paid teachers, and are feeding children at the school and supplying HIV medication and food to the orphanage. We are planning to continue building new classrooms and expand agricultural projects and purchase livestock which will allow the school to become more self-sustainable. We will also continue to supply medication, doctors visits, and food to the orphanage. We would like to expand to other communities around the world.
