The Problem
Nobody is more intimately connected with the impact of teen partner rape/violence then the brave young men and women who have survived it. A group of survivors from various backgrounds come together to raise awareness about the issue of teen partner rape/violence, spread the word and share their own personal stories.
Nothing is off limits, nothing is too personal, and everything is discussed. The only way to thrive & heal, is to share. And the knowledge of a survivor is priceless.
The issue is presented in an intimate setting of high schools, youth groups, group homes, etc.
Plan of Action
-Contacting local schools and offering to speak about the issue of teen dating violence
-Creating an outline of our workshop/seminar that can be presented to administration in various places (i.e high schools, group homes)
-Raising awareness within our own communities
-Recruiting more volunteers
-Educating ourselves so we are better equipped to educate others
-Create an awareness website and a website where we can be contacted
-Compile a list of useful resources to pass along to places we visit.
-Establish ourselves as a youth-outreach organization.
