The Problem

My group traveled to Cusco, Peru planning to help many people in the area. We passed out blankets and roseries to the elderly in the local senior citizens' home and to a local Catholic hospital. We also visited 2 all-girls orphanages as well as 2 all-boys orphanages where we played with the kids and gave out winter clothing and sporting equipment. We traveled with 3 seminarians and one priest so we held mass in 3 different churches. This was a trip I will always remember.

Plan of Action

My plan of action for now is to bring back to America what I learned in Peru. I learned about hospitality, being thankful for everything I have, and I learned how important it is to receive an education. When I complete college it would be great to gather many people together again and return to Peru (so other young adults can have the same experience I had,) and I would love to donate more next time because those are truly the people in our world who's in need.
