Money Raised: So far $1,000. Need $2000 more.

See It

At a recent Homeowners Association meeting, dozens of community members expressed concern with an unused, uncared-for, unsightly piece of school property that collects trash and seems to encourage troublesome loitering of teenagers. We believe we can turn this area into a positive part of the community that encourages integration of school curriculum, neighborhood ties, nature appreciation, and pride in self. Our group is planning, raising funds, and will be laboring to begin a school/community park in hopes of increasing respect for nature and pride in the community. On the 26th of April we (30 students, 2 teachers, numerous community members and the owner of Natural Waterscapes) will gather to dig an 11' x 16' pond on the edge of the school property. This pond will become the focal point of a park that will grow over the years. Next year benches will be constructed and plants will be planted. The following year...sculptures and easels?
