The Problem

I am currently working on a short promotional documentary for a non-profit organization, The Network for Peace through Dialogue. They are currently interested in showcasing the efforts made within their Youth Program which provides free workshops for high-school students living in low income areas. The workshops help students to recognize, utilize and devlope criticle skills of dialoging that can help to create peace and understanding within their lives at home and in school. The organization is primarily based in New York City but they are hoping to expand the awarenss of their work and methods to many different communities.

Plan of Action

Well I have already begun the project and expect to be finished by May. So far my group and I have coducted and filmed numerous interviews of board memebers, facillitators, participants and students. In addition to that we have obtained footage of student workshops. I'm currently in the process of editing the film with Final Cut Pro. Once editing is complete, music will be added and we will hand the video over to the Network to use for promotional and educational purposes. The video will also be featured on the organizations website. At this stage the most important element for me is to make sure everyone in my group takes care of their resposibilities and see that all aspects of the video; visually and conceptually are attended to.
